It is my belief that I am in between the static and dynamic continuum. I engage in both aspects of the continuum, but I have not yet encompassed the creative totality of being dependently dynamic. In order for me to move toward the dynamic continuum, I must move away from being in a directive state and more open to building my knowledge based on evaluative and analytical methods. This way of thinking will allow me to formulate my own ideas based on collaborative discussions and interactions in a variety of technological forms. When effectively engaging in distance education, a dynamic continuum is necessary. The DE organization is one that requires a high standard of expectations for learning. These learning requirements involve collaboration, individual thinking, ability to connect theory to practice, and understanding the role of technology in education. When categorizing yourself in the dynamic continuum, one must be able to state that each element; content, communication, and collaboration has been mastered and consistently and effectively is practiced. As of the present, I cannot place myself in that category, however by continuously engaging myself in a practice that is open-ended, I will be moving closer to the dynamic continuum.
